FIN 32092 - Analysis of the Housing Market and Home Purchase Process 3 Credit Hour(s) The history of the 2007-2008 housing crisis will be discussed. Analysis of the national and local housing markets as well as investigating property values across the country. A review of the home purchase process will include home selection, hiring a real estate agent, applying for a mortgage, credit reports, affordability, negotiating the offer, appraisals, inspections, taxes, insurance, and the closing process. Also, the true cost of home ownership will be investigated. Prerequisite(s): ACCT 21010 ; ENGL 17000 with a C or better.
