ESC 11000 - Introductory Meteorology

This course acquaints the student with the physical and thermal dynamics of the lower atmosphere. It deals with the role the sun plays as the source of energy for all phenomena. Topics include thermal energy; atmospheric temperature, humidity, pressure, and wind; cloud formation; frontal systems; severe weather phenomena and air pollution.
