EDU 21501 - Teacher Education Seminar I

This course orients students to the requirements of the teacher education program and field experiences. Students will be required to purchase Foliotek, an electronic portfolio system, if they have not already done so. Passing scores on the Missouri General Education Assessment MoGEA, ACT, SAT, Content Test #73 and #74, or the paraprofessional test; a minimum of nine EDU/EDS coursework credits; an oral communications course (three credit hours); and a minimum GPA are required for acceptance into the teacher education program. Students must be accepted into the teacher education program to pass this course. If students do not pass this course, they will not be allowed to enroll in many upper level education courses.
Grading Method: This course is graded on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory basis.
Prerequisite(s): 9 credit hours of EDU/EDS coursework.
Offered: Fall/Spring.
