ECON 23010 - Survey of Economics

This course introduces basic economics concepts, relationships, and institutions. It provides a foundation for applying economics to individual decision-making and for critically analyzing aggregate economic behavior and policy. Topics covered include supply and demand, consumer choice, competition, monopoly, the labor market, government intervention, business cycles, fiscal policy, money and banks, monetary policy, and international trade. Please note, this course satisfies one social science general education requirement, but does not fulfill core or elective requirements for business majors.
