Critical Thinking Minor

The minor in critical thinking is an interdisciplinary minor that combines a philosophical approach to logic and critical thinking with the application of those skills in an area of your interest. The minor combines theoretical and practical approaches to critical thinking that will enhance any degree.

Requirements


Minor Coursework


9 credit hours of coursework from the following options, one of which must be a Logic course and one of which must be a 30000-level course:

Elective Coursework


9 credit hours of coursework from the following options:

ARTH, AST, CSC, ECON, ENGL, GS, HIST, MGMT, PHS, PS at or above the 20000-level.

BSC, CHM, ESC, GEO, PHRL, PHY, PSY, SOC at or above the 30000-level.

CINE 33600 , CINE 37000 , or COM 10200 .

Other course substitutions may be possible with the permission of the department head.

No duplication of coursework is permitted within the program.
