The 51-credit hour BA in Music is a liberal arts degree that provides a broad, well-rounded education with a solid foundation in musical studies. It is designed for students who want to combine the study of music theory, history, and performance skills with the flexibility to pursue additional interests, such as other areas of music, or a second major/minor in another field.
While providing opportunities for ensemble performance and private instruction, the BA in Music emphasizes critical thinking, historical context, and adaptability, preparing graduates for a wide range of careers in music and arts administration, and other fields that value creative and analytical skills.
