12 credit hours - minimum
This credential will focus on the student’s opportunities for writing and presenting scientific information in the classroom and in quasi-professional settings. With the current understanding gap between scientists and lay people concerning science and the scientific method is imperative that we train the next generation of scientists and potential public policy makers in disseminating scientific findings in a manner that maintains the integrity of the process while introducing the findings to the audience in an appropriate manner. Completion of this credential program will utilize training opportunities in the classroom to develop a portfolio of publications that will allow students to demonstrate their communication skills and receive a digital badge.
