The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Traditional Track is a pre-licensure program that prepares students to become registered nurses. New students are accepted to the university and must complete the pre-nursing studies program or equivalent before applying to the nursing major.

The last two years of study will be full-time, on-campus requiring clinical rotations at area healthcare facilities. The program is cohort-based thus courses will follow a prescribed sequence. Students are expected to remain continuously enrolled and will follow a specific sequence of didactic and clinical coursework designed to meet the core competencies established by the Missouri Board of Nursing and nursing accreditor.

The nursing program has specific eligibility requirements and utilizes a secondary application admission process. The program accepts a maximum of 48 students into each cohort. Admission to this major is limited and is competitive. Interested students should work with their advisor to ensure they complete the core prerequisite courses and know when to apply.

Requires a program fee ($3875/term) during junior/senior year while in nursing courses.
