IPC 56200 - Social and Cultural Foundations of Counseling Credit Hour(s): 3 This course is the study of the social bases of behavior with an emphasis on the influence of culture and cultural differences on the counseling process. Students will examine the impact of prejudice and discrimination on specific populations and the adoption of culturally sensitive strategies in working with these populations. Prerequisite(s): IPC 51000 or IPC 51100 .
